Mathilde Vildy
Mathilde has been a speech pathologist since 2020. Her training at the University of Bordeaux had already taken her abroad, for an extended internship in a clinic in Peru. Mathilde also developed a project in Togo aimed at raising awareness about speech pathology.
After more than two years of practice in France, working with patients aged 2 to 100, Mathilde continued her career in Mayotte and in 2023, became the owner of her own clinic in Tahiti. These varied experiences allowed her to widen her expertise and develop a broad range of skills, well suited to multilingual and multicultural environments.
Committed to both the non-profit and academic sectors, Mathilde supervised a Master’s thesis on the development of telehealth intervention in French-speaking Africa, and she is currently involved in creating an association dedicated to this same goal.
Before working as a speech pathologist, Mathilde spent several years as a youth worker and camp counsellor, strengthening her experience with children and adolescents through an approach centred on play, pedagogy, and communication.
A native French speaker who has been fluent in English for about ten years, Mathilde is well equipped to meet the needs of bilingual patients receiving support in Sydney and beyond. Orthophonie Sydney is delighted to welcome Mathilde as part of the team.
