Ms Marion Kunstek

Marion Kunstek graduated as a Speech Pathologist from the Haute-École de la Ville de Liège (Belgium). She then obtains the French equivalency by completing nearly 900 hours in every area of speech pathology.

Through her work in private practice and specialised institutes, Marion gained professional experience helping children and adolescents with oral and written language delays and difficulties, specific learning difficulties / disorders, (dyslexia, dysorthographia, dyscalculia …), and sometimes severe disabilities (autism, dysphasia, Down syndrome,…). Her desire to continuously learn prompts her to further her knowledge in diagnosing and remediating difficulties with mathematical reasonning, as well as pediatric dysphagia (swallowing difficulties / poor oro-motor control in children).

A French national, Marion has been exposed to English since her teenage years and to Spanish though family members. Although French is her native language, she is fluent in English and Spanish and has provided speech pathology support to bilingual / multilingual children. Her empathetic, creative, dynamic and enthusiastic nature has contributed to her love of helping children with special needs, as well as children evolving in multilingual contexts.

Marion is organised and engaged in her professional work, and cares about treatment efficacy. She keeps up-to-date with the latest research to better respond to the needs of her caseload in a timely manner. An interest for languages prompted her to travel abroad and reach new horizons, where a more favourable climate enables her to pursue her passion for crossfit and the outdoors.

Orthophonie Sydney is delighted to have Marion as part of the team, so that French / francophile families can leverage from her skills.
