Ms Alice Paumier

Alice is a French speech pathologist eager for new knowledge and discoveries. After completing a degree in Language Sciences at the Jean-Jaurès University of Toulouse, she completed her speech pathology training (Bachelor + Masters; 5 years) at the University of Lyon 1 – Rockefeller.
Born in Paris, Alice grew up in Toulouse. During her speech therapy training in Lyon, she developed a particular interest in ENT Disorders and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Her dissertation dealt with peripheral facial paralysis and obtained a Very High Distinction (18+/20). Her internships allowed her to work in various environments, including medical-psychological centers (dysphasic children), day hospitals (child psychiatry – children and adolescents), ENT departments, and also in private practice in Guadeloupe.
After working as a private practitioner in Lyon, Alice then headed to New Caledonia to continue her practice with a variety of patients. She then perfected her skills treating oral / written language disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, ASD, ADHD, oral and swallowing disorders, neurological disorders, voice disorders and intellectual disability in patients across the age spectrum.
Alice has solid skills in assessing specific needs, developing personalized rehabilitation programs and using various techniques to promote patient progression and recovery.
Orthophonie Sydney is delighted to see Alice join its team, to continue providing speech therapy support in French to families in Sydney and elsewhere.
